Janeen Wyatt is an important member of SLG2, Inc and has been with the company since 2016. She is a Team Lead and Firearms Instructor.
How and/or why did you get started in shooting sports?
I was brought up around firearms and married a man who loved to hunt. I didn’t have an interest personally except for recreational trips to the range until I got my carry license. I had a background in martial arts and wanted to be efficient in anything I carry. It made sense to get more training if since I was planning on carrying a firearm with her at all times. Little did I know all the fun I was missing out on. A lot of classes later, I became a certified instructor with USCCA and the NRA and hold many credentials with them. I continues to take classes and practices regularly. I love being a student as well as teaching.
Why are you passionate about working for SLG2:
I am passionate about teaching firearm safety and awareness, and SLG aligns with my passion. I loves the education SLG gives to the community across the US. SLG’s vision to introduce the communities to the shooting sport and provide education is so rewarding. I also loves learning from other instructors across this great nation. Getting to hear how others teach gives me and all the instructors more education on how to teach and relate to their students. These SLG instructors, whom I call friends, are more of an extended family. It’s like a family reunion every time we get to work at an event.
When not shooting, what do you love to do:
I love sharing mypassion with others, but in my personal life I have three sons. My family and grandchildren keep mepretty busy. I am also very active with my church family. My husband and I enjoy riding motorcycles, playing cards, and traveling as well. I am blessed with a great support system and people that God has put in my life!
