Rebecca King

Rebecca King is a strong, conservative Christian and a U.S. Navy veteran who loves spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys hiking, fitness, Bible studies, travelling, and entertaining. She works in the training department at Wilshire Gun in Oklahoma City, where she teaches a variety of classes. She also serves as the Security Director at her church in Norman, OK.

While in her early thirties, Rebecca began shooting, initially as a way to pass the time while her oldest son was learning to shoot. Her new hobby soon developed into a passion she desired to share with others and in 2010 she earned the NRA Pistol Instructor certification. She immediately began assisting with concealed carry courses at local ranges and with NRA Women’s Wilderness Escape, Women on Target and Youth Hunter Education events in Maryland, Virginia and Oklahoma.

Rebecca became involved in action shooting sports at Steel Challenge and USPSA matches in 2010, and once introduced to the sport of 3-gun, discovered a new love. She shot her first match as a sponsored shooter in January 2015 and continues to represent her sponsors at major matches around the country.

Rebecca joined the Shoot Like a Girl instructor team in December 2015 and has continued to be thankful for the opportunity to travel our great country teaching and changing lives one shot at a time. She is also affiliated with A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League, leading a local chapter and teaching at national events.

Her desire to continue increasing in knowledge and experience has made her a more effective, well-rounded instructor. Her current certifications include: A Girl & A Gun Handgun Instructor, Oklahoma SDA Firearms Instructor, Oklahoma Armed Security Guard, Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor, and an NRA Instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Refuse to Be a Victim, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, and Range Safety Officer.
