Katie Salinas

I was born and raised in the South and have many hunters in my extended family, but I never had the opportunity to learn about firearms as a child. After high school, I met my husband and became a military spouse. We have lived all over the United States and have two amazing children. We knew early on that I needed a way to protect my family, especially during deployments. After taking my first pistol course and going to the range, I was hooked! It wasn’t long before I would ask every friend to go target shooting with me. That was several years and several personal firearms ago. Now I have an extensive love for all firearms; pistols, rifles, and shotguns; and when time allows, I participate in competitions and hunt. I am blessed to be part of the Shoot Like A Girl team and see so many women experience shooting in a safe and fun environment!
