Julie Godfrey – From First-Time Shooter to SLG2 Team Member

How and/or Why did you get started in shooting sports?

In January 2014, I made a decision to become educated about firearms after a shooting at the high school our daughters were attending – Arapahoe High School. As a mother, I want to be able to protect myself, and my family. That decision led me to asking my husband to teach me how to shoot a handgun.

Why are you passionate about working for SLG2:

It’s about the people you meet, and getting the opportunity to educate them on safety, and fundamentals. Being able to spend time with them, talking with them, hearing their stories, and giving them the chance to try something they may have never tried.

When not shooting, what do you love to do:

When I am not shooting, I’m either working alongside my husband in our law firm or I’m having girl’s time with my mother and daughters, and grand-daughter!
