Anita Alberti – Combining Passion and Experience to Empower others

Anita has been a contracted instructor with SLG2, Inc since 2004.

How and/or Why did you get started in shooting sports?

I first learned to shoot as a means of self-defense.  After taking a class and discovering that I had a knack for shooting, I became very interested in shooting as a sport. I joined my local gun club, joined their competitive Combat League, learned from the great shooters surrounding me, continued gaining experience, and eventually became an NRA certified Basic Pistol Instructor.  Being an instructor keeps my days full, and I love every minute of it.  I continue to acquire more NRA certifications, and I continue learning something new about the shooting sports at almost every outing. 

Why are you passionate about working for SLG2:

I am passionate about working for SLG2 because I see myself in every individual that comes through our trailers, whether they are a novice or more experienced.  I recall my own emotions as I pulled the trigger for the first time, and remember the feeling of empowerment it brought me and I try to relay that to our guests.  I want our guests to know that they can conquer their fears and develop the confidence that they need in order to become a proficient shooter. 

When not shooting, what do you love to do:

I enjoy organic gardening, landscaping and reading to learn new things.
