Amy Hess – Helpful Instructors Empowering Others by Demystifying Fear

Amy Hess has been an instructor with SLG2, Inc since 2023.

How and/or why did you get started in shooting sports?

I went out on a second date with this guy who took me to an outdoor range to teach me to shoot!  I had so much fun, I ended up marrying the man!  It’s been a full range of fun ever since!

Why are you passionate about working with SLG2, Inc?

When people are introduced to firearms in a safe atmosphere, and they are able to overcome their anxieties, fears, and stresses, and see they can do it, that’s what I love!  The look on their face and  the overwhelming sense of accomplishment sends my heart a flutter!  Helping people understand that shooting can be fun and not to be afraid is one of my main goals and SLG2 helps keep me passionate about what I love!

When not shooting, what do you like to do?

When I’m not shooting or instructing, nature is my go to.  In other words, I love camping, walking through the woods, kayaking, jeeping off road, quad riding, and also taking our 2 labs swimming in lakes or streams and running in the fields.
