Debi Martin – Passionate about Carrying on Strong Family Traditions

Debi Martin has been an archery instructor with SLG2, Inc since 2012.

How and/or why did you get started in shooting sports?

My dad was an avid hunter, and he would take me hunting growing up.  He taught me how to shoot firearms and all about hunting safety.  When I met my husband Brad, he was a successful archer not just with hunting but on the archery range as well. He bought me my first bow and we have been hunting and shooting competitively together ever since.   

Why are you passionate about working for SLG2:

When I get to talk to anyone about shooting sports it gives me the biggest sense of accomplishment. By passing on my knowledge of shooting sports is me doing my part to keep these traditions alive.  Working for SLG2 has been the most amazing experience for me.  I have traveled all over the US getting to teach and talk about something that I am very passionate about. 

When not shooting, what do you love to do:

I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to travel, especially if the trip is for a hunt. It’s not very often I get to sit still, but when I can, I love to go to the movies.
