The Grand Safety Tour Is Rolling: Shoot Like A Girl Reaches 1,155 Guests in Q1 2026

The 2026 season is off to a powerful start — and we’re just getting warmed up.

When Abigail from Daytona Beach, Florida walked away from the Shoot Like A Girl experience this past February, she said something that stopped us in our tracks: “I’m so impressed by how such a short experience can be so life changing.”

That’s the mission. That’s the moment we work for — every mile, every event, every conversation on the range.

The 2026 Grand Safety Tour has officially launched, and the numbers from our first quarter tell a story of real impact, real community, and real change.

Five Destinations. 9,454 Miles. 1,155 Guests.

From January through March 2026, the Shoot Like A Girl truck logged nearly 10,000 miles to bring our experience to five premier destinations across the country:

  • NSSF Range Day — Boulder City, Nevada
  • Bass Pro Shops — Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Bass Pro Shops — Daytona Beach, Florida (during the Daytona 500)
  • Bass Pro Shops — Gainesville, Florida
  • Bass Pro Shops — League City, Texas

Every stop welcomed new faces, new stories, and new converts to the shooting sports community.

The Impact: Attitudes Are Changing

The data from our post-event surveys paints an inspiring picture of what safety education — done right — can accomplish.

39% of guests left with an improved attitude toward firearms. These are real people who came in curious or even skeptical and walked away with confidence and a new perspective on personal safety.

Another 55% already held a positive attitude toward firearms — meaning the overwhelming majority of our guests are becoming advocates for responsible gun ownership.

Perhaps most powerful of all: 38% of guests went home and recruited someone else to try shooting sports. That’s the ripple effect in action. One experience becomes two. Two become four. Safety spreads.

Who Came Out to Shoot?

Our guests this quarter reflect the beautiful diversity of the communities we serve. Here’s a snapshot of who joined us on the range:

Age: The largest group this quarter was the 30–39 age range (22%), followed closely by guests 60 and older (21%) and those in the 40–49 range (20%). Shooting sports truly span generations.

Gender: 65% of our guests were women — a testament to the mission at the heart of everything we do. Men made up 31%, showing that Shoot Like A Girl is a welcoming space for everyone.

Ethnicity: Our guests reflect a wide cross-section of America — 69% Caucasian, 10% Hispanic or Latino, 7% African American, 5% Asian or Asian American, and more — reinforcing that firearms safety is a universal need and a universal right.

From Curious to Committed: Firearms Statistics

Many guests arrived with little or no shooting experience. 13% had never fired a gun before. Another 19% had shot years ago but were returning to the sport. That means roughly one in three guests were essentially brand new to firearms.

What happened after the experience? The numbers speak for themselves:

  • 18% purchased a firearm after their visit
  • 23% committed to buying one within the next six months
  • 31% plan to purchase at some point in the future
  • Only 13% said they would not purchase a firearm

When it came to why they wanted a firearm, home defense led the way at 79%, followed by recreational shooting (53%), concealed carry in a holster (42%), and concealed carry in a purse (31%).

Of those planning a purchase, 83% were committed to a pistol, 34% to a rifle, and 19% to a shotgun.

Archery: Half of Our Guests Had Never Picked Up a Bow

Our archery experience continues to be a gateway moment for so many guests. 50% of archery participants had never shot a bow before walking into our trailer — and many left ready to make it a regular part of their lives.

  • 33% plan to purchase a bow following their experience
  • 10% already owned one

Tineke from Gainesville, Florida, put it best: “I loved it and can’t wait to get a bow like the one I shot with Shoot Like A Girl. Hope they come back again so I can go back!”

Voices From the Tour

Nothing captures the spirit of what we do better than the words of the people we meet along the way.

“It was a great experience. The ladies were very informative. Before this experience we had never held a gun before, so it was completely new for us. I am very happy that we got the chance to attend.” — Tayrn, League City, TX

“I’ve had a few people try to shy me away from guns due to the amount of accidents and their own perceived level of danger, but I have very little fear or apprehension now when it comes to guns.” — Abigail, Daytona Beach, FL

“I think it was a very cool experience — my girlfriend and my best friend’s wife both went in and enjoyed it also.” — Arthur, Las Vegas, NV
