TBuzz has always served to help others maximize their fullest potential, both professionally and personally. As a career Corporate Human Resource Management professional, she believes in matching humans with the resources to accomplish their desired goals. Born in Washington, DC, TBuzz graduated from the Howard University School of Business.
While working in the nation’s capital, she was tasked with leading the Post 9/11 Emergency Response Team, which sparked her interest in safety protocols and workplace safety program development. She also served as the Family Readiness Liaison for a deployed military battalion. After retiring, she began to concentrate her efforts on personal safety and self-defense instruction.
As the Lead Instructor for Acutely Aware Firearms Instruction, LLC, she focuses her training on responsible firearm safety fundamentals, the importance of situational awareness and understanding non-lethal force options. She holds Instructor Certifications through the United States Concealed Carry Association and the National Rifle Association to include, but not limited to, Basic Pistol, Range Safety Officer, Refuse To Be A Victim and Women’s Self-Defense. She is a graduate of the Citizens Police Academy and volunteers her time as a Chapter Leader for The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters, while serving her community through her role on the Public Safety Citizen Advisory Board.
Spending time with her husband Mark, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired) and their two adult sons centers her. She enjoys music, traveling and learning outside of the box. She believes in the power of prayer to guide her decisions and feels blessed to a part of the Shoot Like A Girl Team and spreading its empowering mission.
