Jessica Minor

I was raised in Georgia by parents that did not hunt or shoot and knew very little about firearms. It wasn’t until my late teens that a close friend and hunting/gun advocate took the time to teach me how to shoot. The first time I went to the range with him, I cried because I was so scared to shoot a .22 rifle. I’ll always remember that moment and am thankful for the patience he had and the effort he took to teach me something so important. I remember that moment with each and every lady that walks through the door of our Shoot Like a Girl trailer, and I want to be that person for them.

I live in Idaho now, have a career in the dairy industry, and I like to volunteer with the local police department with the Citizen’s Police Academy every year. I am raising two beautiful, adventurous little girls that make me thankful that I am a mama on a daily basis.

I’ve been fortunate to hunt big game in South Africa but big game hunting here in Idaho is my all time favorite shooting activity. I am a NRA certified rifle, pistol and Home Firearm Safety instructor and enjoy teaching women about gun safety in my community. I’ve been instructing with Shoot Like a Girl since early 2019.
