Kristy Titus

About Kristy:

With a shared passion and love of the outdoors, Kristy is honored to serve as an ambassador for Cabela’s, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, RMEF’s Team Elk Television Show, Swarovski Optik, Buck Knives, Montana Silversmiths and Wilderness Athlete. Her greatest hope is to inspire others, giving them the confidence to tackle the most demanding outdoor activities.

Kristy was raised leading a pack string of mules into the backcountry, experiencing the thrill of fair chase and do it yourself hunting. She believes that life’s lessons are best learned in the field with family and friends by your side, helping to develop sound personal character and values. The time she spent in the backcountry as a kid with her family transformed her life and created the entire core of who she is.

Kristy’s dad taught her that there was no such thing as a goal or a dream that was too big to make into a reality. Learning the value of setting goals and creating her own success started with small moments in the field: as a kid learning to handle, ride and pack mules; learning to call elk; learning how to strategize in the field; and ultimately gaining the skills to hunt solo on public land.

Over the past few years, Kristy has been blessed with the opportunity to hunt around the world, reaching from the frozen Canadian tundra to the bushveld savannas of Africa. Climbing some of the steepest, roughest mountains in the world, enduring the most severe weather conditions, pushing her mind and body to the limits, digging deep, giving each hunt everything that she has motivates her to continuously look for ways to gain the advantage over the next hunter and the prey that she seeks.

Kristy is passionate in the support of wildlife and habitat conservation and outdoor education. She is a featured member of the RMEF’s Team Elk television show airing on the Outdoor Channel and actively volunteers supporting local RMEF chapter events and youth hunts around the country.

As an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and NRA Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor, she has teamed up with Shoot Like A Girl, helping to ensure the continuation of our hunting and shooting sports heritage.

Kristy is part of the Wilderness Athlete Pro Staff, with a background as a Certified Clinical Sports Nutrition and Exercise INTRAFITT® technical representative and an NPC figure competitor.

She knows there is nothing more powerful than proper nutrition and hard training. Spending countless hours training in the gym, running trails, shooting rifles and archery, refining her elk-calling skills and preseason scouting gives her the advantage in the backcountry.

She shares her passion for fitness and nutrition as editor for Western Hunter, Elk Hunter and North American Hunter Magazines.

Over the past several years, Kristy been blessed with personally witnessing miracles while volunteering on the mountain with participants in the Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Adventures Enabled Program.

WWO provides therapeutic adventures for active duty servicemen and women as referred by military hospitals; some injuries are evident, some are invisible.

In the past, Kristy served on her local Safari Club International board of directors, later moving on to become Vice-President and then President of her local chapter, ultimately leading her to Washington D.C. to lobby members of Congress for legislation and policies to improve hunting and conservation.

By sharing her adventures and love of the outdoors, Kristy’s greatest hope is to inspire others, giving them the confidence to tackle the most demanding outdoor activities.
